Service Description
Slow down, unwind and get grounded in the beautiful Currumbin Valley. This 4 week hand building course is the perfect way to treat yourself to some relaxing creative fun. Absolutely no experience is required to join this class. Over the 4 week period you will learn the following skills: The ceramic process from start to finish Hand building techniques, coiling, pinching slab work, attaching handles Imprint and carve your pieces for The glazing process and preparing your work for the kiln What we will be making. These are guides only, I absolutely encourage you to get creative and create anything your heart desires (as long as its somewhat similar sizes to the below items described :) 1 x Plate 1 x Bowl 1 x Mug & spoon 1 x Jug or vase 1 x Large Serving Bowl, Fruit Bowl OR Serving Platter Or Baking Dish After your 4 week course there will be an opportunity join our weekly "clay club" to continue your ceramic journey. Please note Stoka Clay Studio is a very relaxed laid back environment, you will learn everything you need to know to create beautiful long lasting ceramics however much more than just clay making goes one here, lots and lots of chatting, laughing and you might even make new friends so please beware, if your only here to be serious about clay....perhaps it isn't the place for you :) I look forward to creating with you!
Cancelation Policy
Sorry no refunds on any workshops are available, should you need to reschedule your booking 24 hours notice is required for all hand building classes and a credit for future use will be given. Due to the limited spots available for the wheel classes, if you are unable to attend your wheel class a credit will not be offered however you are welcome to find a replacement for your spot. Please note I am able to keep your finished work for up to 8 weeks after the collection announcement has been made, after that period uncollected work is donated and repurposed.
